A Culinary Legacy Redefined by Chef Akmal Anuar
Akmal's culinary journey began during high school, working with his parents as hawkers. Growing up surrounded by simple, heartfelt food and gatherings shaped his passion for cooking.
With over 20 years of experience, Akmal has worked with renowned chefs such as Dan Hunter, Luis Andoni Aduriz, and Yasuhiro Sasajima, crafting a distinctive culinary style.
As Head Chef at Iggy's Restaurant Singapore, he led the team to the prestigious World's 50 Best Restaurants list in 2012, ranking No. 26 globally and No. 1 in Asia. Over his career, Akmal has cooked for notable figures like Singapore's late founding father Lee Kuan Yew and collaborated with legends like Tetsuya Wakuda and Massimo Bottura, earning his place in the culinary world.
